Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi ZA 25 S Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Remove all securing tapes and packaging. Ensure that any locks or catches are removed to prevent young children from being trapped inside.
Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.
Locate the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated room and make sure that the air openings of the appliance are not obstructed. The back of the cabinet may be placed close to the wall but must not touch it.
Adjust the level of the appliance by screwing out the adjustable foot, or feet, at the bottom of the cabinet using your fingers.
After installation, leave the appliance for 2 hours before turning it on to allow the refrigerant to settle.
Ensure the appliance is plugged into a socket with the correct voltage and frequency as specified in the manual (220-240 V / 50 Hz).
The temperature inside the refrigerator is regulated by a thermostat with 6 temperature positions and one 'OFF' (O) position. Turn the thermostat dial to the required position. The intermediate position (3-4) is usually the most suitable.
When first starting up or after a period of non-use, let the appliance run for at least two hours on the coldest setting before putting any food inside, then adjust the thermostat to the desired setting.
